The advertising partnership will last until December. The Larry Ratliff: Movies & More site will feature a Santikos Theatre ad with a link to show times at all 100 Santikos movie houses in San Antonio and Houston. Beginning June 23 Santikos will run a 15-second commercial for Larry Ratliff on its movie screens in Texas to promote the critic’s site. “I couldn’t be more pleased with the arrangement” says Larry Ratliff.

I know that is what I thought before reading further into the details but that would be wrong. You see there are only two aspects of the device that have to do with HD and I doubt most consumers will even use these functions.

The university currently makes roughly $2 million per year from sponsorships and media rights according to Brad Larrondo the Broncos’ senior assistant athletic director for promotions and marketing. That’s a significance increase for an athletic department that announced $750000 in budget and personnel cuts earlier this month and raised football season ticket prices to avoid deeper cuts. Learfield is a national college sports marketing company that has deals with more than 50 universities and associations. Boise State announced its partnership with Learfield in March. The deal which still must be accepted by the State Board of Education includes a $1 million capital stipend for the Broncos. That money could be used for new or expanded scoreboards and video boards at Bronco Stadium and Taco Bell Arena. “We have a wish list.
Janus to make marketing push in Canada

has announced plans to expand its sales and distribution network in Canada. The Denver-based investment manager (NYSE: JNS) said its new Canadian sales effort will be headed by Mark Baltimore executive director of Global Business Development with Janus Global Advisors. Janus said Baltimore will focus on marketing three distinct “investment boutiques” — Janus Capital Management INTECH Investment Management and Perkins Investment Management — to Canadian asset-management banking and insurance firms throughout Canada. “Canada is a mature market and we believe the strong long-term relative performance of many of our investment strategies will help differentiate Janus from the competition” said Rob Watson senior VP and managing director of Global Business Development in a statement Wednesday. As of March 2009 Janus had $110. 9 billion in assets under management.
