The seminar Online Marketing & Social Media: Best Practices for Tourism will take a critical look at several online marketing tactics that lend themselves specifically to the travel and tourism industry. Topics of exploration will include traffic generation techniques such as search engine optimization pay-per-click marketing local search email and social marketing as well as conversion-focused optimization of websites through the use of analytics. The seminar will be led by three local online marketing experts from Tempe-based Terralever. Founder and Managing Partner Chris Johnson has an extensive background in leveraging the best of technology with clients’ online marketing needs. PepsiCo hires Beraud as chief marketing officer

said Wednesday it has appointed Limited Brands’ veteran Jill Beraud to the newly-created position of chief marketing officer. Beraud who will develop global marketing strategies for the company’s portfolio will report to Indra Nooyi PepsiCo chairman and chief executive. She was most recently chief marketing officer of lingerie company Victoria’s Secret part of Limited Brands and had spent 13 years with the company. She had also served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of marketing for Limited Brands’ portfolio. The company said in a statement Beraud will be tasked with uncovering consumer insights so the company’s brands can tap into trends developing packaging to meet consumer needs and working with research and development finance sales and other aspects of the company’s business. PepsiCo the nation’s second-largest beverage company is known for brands like Pepsi Mountain Dew Frito-Lay snacks and Quaker foods.

will reacquire sole interest in several energy-related companies owned by affiliates of the insurer. -based Tenaska which already owns 50 percent of the partnership will repurchase AIG’s interest in Tenaska Marketing Ventures Tenaska Gas Storage and Tenaska Marketing Canada collectively known as TMV. Terms of the deal which is part of AIG’s restructuring plans were not disclosed. After completion of the deal which is expected Jan. 2 Tenaska’s employee owners will again own 100 percent of TMV. In 2007 TMV announced a partnership with AIG Financial Products Corp.
