Q: What new projects do you expect to take on in the year to come?A: Our new focus is going to be (marketing to) people driving in from four to five hours away, so they don’t have to pay for flights. Before, we maybe focused too much on the East Coast, whereas now we are focusing on the West Coast, the San Diego and New Mexico areas that are closer. Q: Are there any events of the Super Bowl caliber coming in the near future?A: I know we’re hosting the Sweet 16, which is NCAA basketball, next year and the city is looking to get the Final Four. An NCAA gymnastics tournament is also coming.

, developer of downtown Denver’s $175 million Spire condominium tower, plans to start marketing the project in early 2009, company founder and President Randy Nichols said Friday. Nichols was speaking at the Rocky Mountain Commercial Real Estate Expo, held Nov. 7 at the Colorado Convention Center. The expo was put on the University of Denver and Denver Metro Commercial Association of Realtors (DMCAR). “We’re in premarketing now … and we’ll kick off marketing at the start of 2009,” Nichols said.
